Following her studies at Operastudio Vlaanderen, Anja performed numerous roles as Sophie Scholl (Die Weisse Rose/Udo Zimmerman), Leíla (les pecheurs de perles/Bizet), Elvira (I Puritani/Bellini) First Lady and First Lad (Der Zauberflöte/Mozart), Mimi (la Boheme/Puccini), Elvire (la Muette de Portici/Auber), Aennchen(Freischutz/Weber), Ophelia(Hamlet/Thomas)
She also sang the role of Constance at Opéra de Wallonie and so,ng the role of Micaela (Carmen) in 2011/2011 with great success.
At the Netherlands Opera, she made her debut as Magd 4 in Electra by R. Strauss, played the role of Tosca and sang at Opera Zuid Alicia Ford (Falstaff/Verdi), Marguerite (Faust/Gounod) and Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte/W.A.W Mozart)
She has worked with conductors such as : Ivan Törzs, Michel Tilkin, Francois Xavier Roth, Eric Lederhandler, Peter Robinson, Friedrich Pleyer, Walter Proost, Patrick Fournillier, Per Otto Johanson, Ivan Anguelov, Balazs Kocsar, Elgar Howarth, Eivind Aadland, Ed Spanjaard, Eric Delson, Luca Pfaff, Massimo Donadello, Bartholomew-Hendrik Van de Velde and Marc Albrecht, among others. It was directed by Stephen Lawless, Guy Joosten, Emilio Sagi, Ivo Van Hove, Nicola Glück, Andrea Schwalbach, Frank Van Laecke, Wim Trompert and Carlos Wagner.
